February 16, 1943 Nedrow NY Retired Widowed 6 Slaterville Springs Boynton IHS After high school I worked at Morse Chain for three years. I then became a union sheet metal worker for Local 58 in Syracuse and worked in the trade for 43 years. For the past 22 years I taught architectural sheet metal to apprentices. I retired in 2007.

Since I retired I have been working on my house. I have done more work on the house in the last three years than in the previous 30 years. I have put in new windows, a new roof, hardwood floors, and updated the kitchen.

I married Gloria J. Andreas on 11/9/1963. Between 1965 and 1971 we had 3 daughters and a son, followed by twin daughters in 1985. I have four grandsons, three granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Sadly, my wife passed away on 10/11/2010.
I'm not sure if I'll make it to the reunion, but if not I hope everyone has a great time!

I was married right out of school (Bob Pierce Class of 59) and was at home with 2 sons until 1968.  I then worked part time for 20 years at an insurance company.  My next position was with NYSEG and I just retired from AES (Milliken Station) in July of this year.  One son lives in Brooklyn and the other in Rochester.  Neither is married so I do not have any grandchildren to spoil.  So instead we have 2 little dogs.  Send Susan a MessageSend Susan a Message

Virginia Beach VA Busy Retiree Widowed 2 Central School Boynton Jr. High Boynton After high school, I attended Iowa State University where I met my husband, David. Funny thing, he lived in Ithaca, but graduated from Lansing High School. Amazingly, we were the same age. Small world how things happen.

We were married 30 years. He passed away in 1995 from lymphoma, but previously, he had two heart attacks - after the second one (1987), he needed a heart transplant. Doctors gave him six months to two years to live without a transplant, but he never received the new heart. He went to cardiac exercise therapy three times a week, living nearly eight years. Doctors aren't always right and I was thankful for the extra time we had together.

I have two sons, one lives here in VA Beach, the other in Salisbury, MD. My two grandchildren live here and I keep busy transporting them to and from sports practices.

I got tired of mowing lawns, etc., so I moved to a Senior Apt. Complex within walking distance of two grocery stores, pizza places, three banks, and several restaurants. I can walk or bike to my Son's house and even my doctor, if need be. I do have a car but don't drive much except to take the grandchildren. The car is almost three years old and has only 7,400 miles on it - a true little old lady's car even with it's dual exhausts, a spoiler, and a moon roof. I keep telling myself I'm 45.

For those classmates who had my mother, Alice Hanson, for 5th grade, she passed away in 2003 at the age of 93.

April 01, 1943 Caswell Beach NC retired Married 2 Stuttgart - Germany Boynton Junior High - Ithaca Boynton After graduating from IHS I went to and graduated from Cornell. A job with an insurance company brought me to Hartford CT where I met and married my husband Jerry. He was an aeronautical engineer at United Technologies his whole 32 year career, a rare occurence nowadays. I ended up being a system analyst and was lucky to teach computer classes at a local college and doing consulting which allowed me to essentially be a stay-at-home Mom.

In 1994 we left Connecticut, spent 5 years in Baltimore before retiring and moving to Caswell Beach, North Carolina. We feel like we have found a piece of paradise here on our island. We do tear ourselves away to do some traveling.
