March 02, 1943 Powell OH Quotations Specialist Married 3 After graduation, I spent 6 years with Marion Electric as an electrician. I decided I didn't like to work outside in the cold during December and January, so I attended Auburn Community College to earn an AAS in Business Administration. As part of our responsibilty to Uncle Sam, I also served a 7 year hitch with the Army National Guard in Cortland as supply sargeant. I left Marion to work for Graybar Electric, an employee owned electrical wholesaler (the largest in the US) and stayed 31 years with them in Syracuse before retirement serving as Quotations Manager. During my spare time, I sang in the church choir at various churches in Auburn, Baldwinsville and Liverpool. I did a few years of community service with Lions International with one year of service as District Governor of District 20-Y1. Being responsible for 75 clubs, I put over 35,000 miles on my car in 8 months. I married Deb in 1990. She also worked for Graybar, but in Columbus, Ohio. I convinced her to move to the Syracuse area (she really didn"t know what SNOW was). In 1999, she had a chance to move back to Columbus, so I "retired". It lasted a few days and I went to work for Square D in Columbus as a quotations specialist. I just celebrated 10 years with them and still enjoy working. Deb and I have 2 (step) daughters. Diana lives in Columbus and Donna lives in Portland, Oregon. Our son Matthew graduates this year from Olentangy Liberty High School in Powell. In it's 7th year of existance, it is rated in the top 250 in the US. We have 5 grandkids to spoil. I serve as an Elder at Powell Christian Church and am part of the praise and worship team.

August 11, 1943 Denver CO CPA - retired Divorced East Hill Boynton After Cornell, I worked as newspaper reporter for the Washington Star in D.C. and then at the Northern Virginia Sun in Arlington, VA. Then taught figure skating in the Washington area to put a new husband through law school. After the divorce, I went to Virginia Commonwealth University for a degree in Accounting, and passed the CPA exam. Worked for the Virginia State Corporation Commission in electric utility regulation, and was the audit manager for the electric sector. My claim to fame there was that I conducted a lead/lag study to development the cash component of Virginia Power's rate base, and cut their rate base by $126 million. Then I decided I was working way too hard, and took off for Steamboat Springs, CO. so that I could work where I like to play. Linda (twin sister) lives there, and we have had a great time competing with each other skiing at excessive speeds. Bill Smith can attest to the workout we've given him. when he comes for a quiet ski vacation. While in Steamboat I worked in the Finance Dept. for the County, and was responsible for the fiscal oversight of the regional airport. I built a fabulous house there on 35 acres and had two horses, two dogs, and two cats and a 48 HP 4 wheel drive tractor to blow the huge snowfalls there. After two hip replacements, I decided to retire from the County, sold the house, and now I'm living happily ever after. I bought a house in Virginia, and am planning to sell it and move back to Colorado. That is the current plan Update: I have finally sold the Virginia properties and have relocated to Denver.

August 01, 1943 Aurora NY Retired From IBM Married 3 Central Boynton Boynton I married and had two daughters and then divorced. I remarried and gained a Stepson. We'll be celebrating our 37th wedding aniversary and have 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.

I worked for IBM in Administration/Human Resources for 25 years. I traveled around the country for my job.

We sold our family home and built a house on the shores of Cayuga Lake to retire in. We have vacationed in Spain, Holland, Bermuda, The Bahamas, St. Martin, Jamaica, the Florida Keys, and the beaches from Cape Cod to Miami (and we're not done yet).
W have no remarkable or extraordinary hobbies.  Because we live on Cayuga Lake, we do a lot of swimming, boating, and entertaining in the summer months.

It may seem odd that after 25 years with IBM I rarely use a computer, but that is precisely why I don't.

October 19, 1943 Minneapolis-St. Paul MN Professor of Philosophy/Folk Musician www.michaelkac.com Single 1 Graduated from Haverford College (PA) in 1965 and did three years of grad work at U of PA before moving to UCLA and finishing Ph.D. in linguistics. Joined the faculty of the University of Minnesota in 1972 and have been here ever since. Published a couple of books and numerous articles on arcane subjects, along with the other strange things that academics do. In college I became a professional musician, playing folk music; worked with some rock bands, including the Philadelphia-based Mandrake Memorial, with whom I recorded two albums as keyboard player and backup singer; then joined guitarist Linda Cohen in a duo performing an eclectic brand of music I call renaissancebaroquerockjazztechno. These days I am back with folk music, playing an average of 1.7 gigs per month.

Had two kids and studied Applied Math at Brown U. Nuclear training. Four more submarines. Three jobs in Arlington VA, then retired from USN. Relocated to Cambridge. 9 year career as Pension Actuary. Worked on IHS '61 50th reunion! Helping to maintain contact as two Lindas plan the 55th. Details in Current Class Notes:What I've been up to:George Kent
It was great to see so many people at the reunion.  There never is enough time to have all the conversations one would like to have, but as someone said in the past - it is better to wish there had been more time than the other way around!

As the 55th approaches, we are again struggling with classmates "disappearing".  Please let us know when you change email provider, phone number, or mail address.  The list of those for whom we have no valid contact information is growing.
