We had 4 children and I stayed at home for a few years then divorced Wayne and went to work at Victory Markets, Ithaca Gun. From 1972 to 1992 I worked as a Home Health Aide. Got my GED in 1968. Graduated from Glendale Commuinity College in 1999.

From Linda:

I have had a good life. My family were farmers and I am a down to earth family person. Ed Sullivan and I were together from 1976 to his death in Jan 2013. We lived in Freeville until his retirement in 1995 moving to Phoenix AZ then to Winter Haven FL in 2001 where I still live. I have 6 grand children and 2 Great grandchildren. Would love to hear from my high school friends.

For around 12 years I was in business with my dad, an Italian restaurant, The Old Villa.

I went to TC3 twice, then Ithaca College and got a BS in communications. Then went to Liberty Univ. for an MA.

I spent years as a sports writer and researcher ( a stringer ) for national magazines and newspapers.

Have lived continuously in Ithaca which was voted the second smartest city in the country.

Now a counselor at William George Agency, formerly George Jr. Republic.

I have worked at a few boring office jobs, but mostly have just been a homemaker. I married Hank Sommers in 1964. He worked mostly in radio and advertising and is now semi retired. We've lived in the Binghamton, NY area except for two years in Springfiled, MA. I like antiques and used to do a lot of furniture refinishing and we have always been "do it yourselfers" around the house. I also like dogs, wild life, gardening, and reading about history. We enjoy visiting historic sites and museums and hiking with our dog. Our son, his wife, and our two young grandsons live in Bath, ME.

Then was a Peace Corps Volunteer in a Libyan desert village for 2 years and discovered teaching. Spent the following year in Tripoli, Libya, and Ellen and I married, then a stint in Washington working for the Peace Corps. Next stop was graduate school at Indiana University, which yielded a son, degrees, and a job at the University of Minnesota political science department. Have been here 33 years. Ellen is a lawyer. Our son is a Foreign Service Officer. He, our marvelous daughter in law, and two grandchildren currently live in Africa. Professionally have put more effort into teaching than publishing. 1990-2001 spent 4 semesters in Turkey, and Istanbul became our second home until grandchildren deflected our travel from the Middle East to Africa.

Became a secondary teacher near New York, met and married fellow teacher, Sam Loughridge and became a mom to Sabrina. Moved to a snowy ski chalet on Pico Peak a few miles from Rutland, lived in S. Burlington, Vergennes, and Charlotte, Vermont. Got two more degrees- one in Art. Ed. and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from University of Vt. Continued to teach for 14 years in the public schools- English, Art, and Counseling.
In 85, got involved in a teacher strike, moved to St. John, in the Virgin Islands, Lived in the Caribbean for 4 years. Mom became ill, moved back to U.S. to take care of her. Got yoga certification at Kripalu Center before moving to Santa Barbara, CA. where I taught at Santa Barbara City College and Bacara Spa and Resort. I lived at La Casa De Maria Retreat Center, and wrote a book on hiking. (I have moved 43 times in my life.)
I have 3 grandchildren, ages 5, 16, and 21. In 2004, I moved to Maui, Hawaii. My mom passed away in 2005, and I have made Maui my permanent home. I love travel, In the last six years, I have gone to New Zealand, Australia, Tahiti, Vancouver, Canada, Colorado and Idaho.
At present, I teach yoga, lead hikes, and volunteer for Hospice. I look forward to this reunion. I think it will be a kick to see everyone after 50 years

I was supposed to be a printer's apprentice but that didn't happen as the driver that delivered the printed material quit and they wanted be to be the driver. I decided to find another job, I went to work at National Cash register and left there in August to enlist in the Navy. Boot camp was at Great Lakes.

After a taste of skiing and sailing in Ithaca and a BS from Penn State, I spent the 1st 20 years sailing the Chesapeake and selling skis. Skied the last 20 years in Vail, Colorado selling popcorn and sailed from Antigua to Nova Scotia. More fun to come!
