March 15, 1943 Anchorage AK life coach/writer Single Cayuga Heights Boynton IHS Following graduation from IHS, I returned to the place of my birth {Colorado} and attended The Colorado College. Upon completion...having focussed on Comparative Religion and Philosophy and English...my life became an odyssey of travel and soul-searching for the passion that would hold me through the years. I found that passion as a counselor/life coach...eventually returning to school and becoming certified in Complementary Health Care and body work. I moved to Alaska in 1982, and founded GateKey School of Mind/body Integration Studies in 1984. My partner and I ran the school for 25 years...retiring it in 2009. It was a great run! During those years I studied and worked in Shanghai, China {1984}, was a 'citizen diplomate' in the Soviet Union {1986},trekked a spiritual trail in Peru {1992} and have generally fallen more in love with life. My first book is with my editor at the moment {April 2011}...titled "The Courage to Change/The Will to Forgive." I continue 'coaching'. What fun it all is!!!
Thank all of you, who have so thoughtfully brought this reunion together!!!!  Wow...what a grand effort of love!     Send Carol... aka Ketki...for the past 30 yrs. a MessageSend Carol... aka Ketki...for the past 30 yrs. a Message

February 15, 1943 Mansfield PA professor of linguistics Committed Relationship 1 Inlet Valley (1-5) St. John's (6) Boynton Boynton After graduating from Wooster, I was in the Peace Corps, first in India and then in Afghanistan (before anyone had heard of this beautiful and remote country). Married an Afghan, spent a year in Japan, then returned to the USA. Gave birth, taught in a variety of places and a variety of subjects, following husband around. PhD in linguistics from Michigan State University. Taught in China for a year and then moved to Morocco where I taught at Al Akhawayn University for three years and conducted field research on the oral performance narrative of Berber women. Divorced. Moved back to USA in 1999 for a (finally) tenured position at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. Spent a year as a Senior Fulbright Lecturer at Sofia University, Bulgaria. Gained a Brazilian daughter-in-law and then a grandson. Life in the remote wilds of northern PA is great--and just a short distance from Ithaca, where I go every few weeks to shop at Greenstar, do research at Olin, and get my gimme! coffee fix.
Kudos to Loulie and the whole reunion committee for such a great site.

January 01, 1944 Pawleys Island SC
Bachelors in Management from Empire State College; Masters of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary (Presbyterian Church USA)
I've enjoyed the contrast of living along the dirt roads of Perry City (NY) and amid the high rises of Chicago.  My favorite:  my current spot just a bike ride away from the ocean.  I quilt, do other artsy stuff, walk/run my Parson Russell terror, play in the water, and work part-time for a local family that owns a lot of real estate.
A few years ago in choosing place over position, I found I could not continue in my role as pastor.  Bible belt churches are most distrustful of older northern women.  Moved anyway...now share a condo with friend Lucia with whom I generally have a great time.  I've spent my career advocating for the rights of others - females, blacks, GLBT, the poor, the earth.  Ha!  Maybe more reasons churches here were skeptical (most would prefer to maintain the status quo).  For now, with good health - though minus the wealth - I relish each day just for me and those close to me.
I have a book outlined, which may or may not get written, perhaps to be titled Unsermons, to be in reader-friendly format, to put reason to cherished religious traditions.  Some would say I've slid down the hot slope to hell.  I'd say I've risen above to greater truth and freedom.  Ha again!  The church may some day even want my credentials back.
Enjoyed 24 years of marriage but decided against 25.  Alas, ex Don Dickinson '60 died of cancer in '97.  Daughter Chris lives in Lansing surrounded by a handful of step grandkids.  Son Brian lives close by in Myrtle Beach with girlfriend and her family.
