I graduated from SUNY at Alfred in '63. After that I ventured to California where I met my husband. We married and moved to his home town of Kansas City, Mo. After our daughter was born in '67 I became a stay-at-home wife. Divorced after 26 years. I worked as a travel agent for about 15 years but am now retired. I have a "significant other" and we enjoy lots of golf together as well as travel. I will be in Ithaca for a family reunion and will attend Friday night's event. Look forward to seeing everyone.
I have one married daughter who has two beautiful girls ages 10 and 8. They live in a nearby suburb and I enjoy spending lots of time with them. |

We've lived in Minneapolis, Toledo, Sewickley,Pa & for the last 30 years - in Atlanta. We have 3 kids & 3 grand kids who live in Atlanta, Boston & San Francisco. In Atlanta I've been very involved in parks & greenspace issues and helped create a small neighborhood nature preserve in a beautiful beech forest right in the City.

I have lived in the Boston area most of my years and frequently visited the Ithaca area to visit my relatives. Ithaca and the country side is still the most beautiful place in the world for me. I have traveled with my husband Fred to many distant shores. This past year we went to the United Arab Emerits to live for a couple years. One year has passed and it has been a lot of fun. Abu Dhabi is a very modern city with ninety percent foreign population. This adventure has made us feel young. We have lived in the same house in Weston, MA. We have two sons and five grandsons. I had my own business with a couple of friends selling art to firms. In 1994 I completed my B.A. as a Davis Scholar at Wellesley College. Life has been good to me. I have been married to Fred for nearly fifty years. Perhaps I was the youngest one of my class to tie the knot. Fred is still a professor at MIT and president of Masdar Institute, UAE.

For the most part, I've been enjoying life -- especially being a mom to my two daughters, Michelle and Megan. And thanks to Megan, I now have a nice son-in-law too. No grandchildren yet, but I have three granddogs and four grandcats. Three of my grandcats are allowing me to care for them temporarily. Rounding out my mini-menagerie is my own cat, and two dogs, who take good care of me.
Thanks to all the committee members for their hard work to make our 50th Reunion a reality. I'm sure it will be a huge success and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone. Sadly my husband, Neil (IHS '63) died in July 2008 after being diagnosed in 2004 with a rare blood disorder, myelodysplasia syndrome, that transformed into leukemia. In June 2009, I retired from Cornell where I worked for over 40 years. I was fortunate to be able to "ease" into retirement by working part time this past year. Retirement has been an interesting experience and more of an adjustment than I expected. Hope to remain in Ithaca, but may head to warmer climes for part of the winter months.
